Amy L. Melton
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992 and obtained her law degree, cum laude, from the Northern Illinois University College of Law. While in law school, Mrs. Melton served as a Law Review Assistant Editor and earned the class awards for Outstanding Performance in Evidence, Criminal Law, and Procedure.
During her years as a practicing attorney, Mrs. Melton has litigated, with a winning record, hundreds of hearings and trials, primarily in the areas of family and criminal law.
Her trial success includes convincing a trial court judge apply an Illinois Supreme Court Rule in order to dismiss a number of DUI cases.
